Activision has formed an all-new internal studio, Elsewhere Entertainment. The new team is exclusively focused on creating a new narrative-based and genre-defining AAA franchise.
Built from the ground up, Elsewhere Entertainment is a premier and standalone studio dedicated to establishing an environment that inspires bold and diverse ideas. The team’s underlying mission encourages everyone to explore and collaborate creatively to craft a franchise with an enduring legacy that resonates far beyond games.
Internship: I joined the studio as a Level Design Intern through the SPARX program in the summer 2024. During my internship, I designed a prototype level and experienced nearly the entire level design process from start to finish. I conducted research, created a 2D layout, built a 3D blockout, and scripted in-game events. I also worked closely with the level design team and collaborated with other departments throughout the project and internship.
Junior Level Designer: After my internship, I was offered a contract position to continue working with the studio. In this role, I took on expanded responsibilities, including leading the design of an activity, assisting the environment art team with set dressing, and supporting various strike teams.
Producing design documentation, top-down layouts, 3D blockouts, and event scripting; translating design goals into playable spaces.
Collaborating with other departments including design, narrative, environment art, and tech teams to align on gameplay, lore, and technical feasibility.
Led the design of a gameplay activity. Iterated on gameplay flow, encounter pacing, and spatial layout to create a cohesive and rewarding experience.
Supported the environment art team with level dressing and visual polish. Focused on environmental storytelling, visual cohesion, and scenic composition across vistas and gameplay spaces.
Note: Project remains under NDA; all descriptions focus on personal contributions and general workflows.
